An pleasant surprise
A pleasant surprise, easy to find location with Valet parking ($29) The employees were friendly and helpful, check-in took only a minute and we were on our way to our room. We had A King Studio Suite which had a kitchenette, that would come in handy for an extended stay, but we were only there one night. It was clean, and comfortable. walking distance to the Harbor and a Dunkin Donuts and 7 eleven next door, if you wanted good coffee. The bed was comfortable forme, but my husband didnt like it, he said it was too flat, not sure what he means about that, but it felt fine to me. the room also had a Flat screen TV, sofa and chair, desk and table. It was failry quiet except for the freq sounds of sirens. The breakfast buffet, was good, we went early and it wasnt bad, but as the morning went on, the line was long and they didnt replenish food that ran out. The only meat item they had to start was cornbeef hash, would have prefered sausage or bacon. Check out was aslo easy, they held our bags until we were ready to leave the city, so though we checked out, our car was good till 5pm.

Will Use Them Again
Upper floors dont currently have wireless web access, only ethernet cables, which can be limiting. Breakfast spread was wonderful, and filling. Valet service is a daily cost but well worth the investment. Friendly and attentive staff.

Stay at Marriott Gardens
Pros: - Very friendly and obliging staff - they always greeted us and asked us how our day way. - Breakfast was very plentiful and offered various options from healthy to yummy. - The complimentary coffee and kitchen area was a welcome addition. - The hotel is located within walking distance of all main attractions. - The room was massive and great to have the kitchen facitliy and complimentary popcorn. Cons: - The bed mattress was too soft. - A bit steep to pay $29 a night for valet parking...ouch! - I noticed many of the children in the communal dining room did not use tongs when they picked up a muffin or piece of toast. This is not the fault of the hotel, but in this day and ago of H1N1 and being the flu season, perhaps a few signs about good handling practises and/or some hand sanitizer would help. Parents....please be sure to educate your kids about food handling practice - the sight of a snotty nosed kid man handling the muffins did nothing to enhance my appetite.
