Fantastic family vacation
I would have to say it was the nicest family vacation we have ever taken. We have traveled extensively and stayed in many 5 star resorts. We stayed in the oceanfront room overlooking the pool. The rooms are typical Ritz rooms. Spacious and beautiful, nice big bathrooms. The program the resort offers, Ambassadors of the Environment, is for the entire family and is unlike and unmatched by any other childrens program I have ever come across. This program is for the entire family and the staff is extremely knowledgeable, fun and exciting. I was very impressed! We signed on for several programs. Our family found this to be the highlight of the week. I should add that my children our not easily entertained! The resort itself is beautiful. The beach is incredible. The sand is like powdered sugar. The food around the resort was fantastic. We went for the club level, probably wouldnt suggest it due to the staff in the lounge being really hit and miss. The only disappointment on the property. The spa was beautiful and very relaxing. Dont miss it!

3 strikes you’re out
I was disappointed with the quality of service at the Ritz. This is on the heels of a stay last year at the Ritz in Puereto Rico where I was equally dissatisfied and I think the quality of this franchise is on the decline. My biggest complaint was the wait for poolside service and the necessity to "reserve" your chaise lounges early in the morning, else, go without. One last thing- the poolside lounge chairs were the most uncomfortable I have ever sat in.
Blue at the Ritz was outstanding for an extremely memorable ( albeit pricey) meal.
